2020 Congrats to former student Catherine Dowd for being accepted in to the MM program as a teaching assistant at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music with Denise Tryon.
Congrats to Joseph Pickett for being accepted to Indiana University where he will attend in the fall and study with Dale Clevenger.
Congrats to Spencer Landen for being accepted to Brigham Young University where he will attend in the fall and study with Larry Lowe.
2019 Congrats to former student Catherine Dowd for winning the John Hawkins Memorial Award to attend the IHS Workshop in Ghent. Also, she was selected as a finalist for the Premiere Soloist Competition and placed Third overall in this international competition.
Congrats to Joseph Pickett. He attended Sewanee Summer Music Festival
2018 Congrats to former students Kiersten Gustafson and Catherine Dowd. Kiersten attended Sewanee Summer Festival and Catherine attended Brevard Summer Music Institute. Catherine attends West Virginia University and Kiersten will be attending the University of North Texas in the fall.
April 2017 Spencer Landen earns Honorable Mention in the High School Solo competition at TCU Hornfest! Congrats Spencer!
February 2017 Eight students earned superior ratings on their memorized Class 1 solos at Region Solo & Ensemble. Congrats to Micah Stark, Kiersten Gustafson, Cameron Gridley, Dane Gonzalez, Matt Barber, Joseph Pickett, Logan Nowak, and Spencer Landen for advancing to State Solo & Ensemble in May!
January 2017 Kiersten Gustafson made eighth chair at Area. Ethan Gurwitz made second chair and Spencer Landen made third chair at Area. Both Ethan and Spencer advanced to state and will be performing at TMEA as a member of the All-State ensembles. Congratulations on your fantastic Performances!
December 2016 Micah Stark made tenth chair Region Band, Cameron Gridley made ninth chair Region Band, Spencer Landen made sixth chair and advanced to Area, Kiersten Gustafson made third chair Region Band and Orchestra and advanced to Area, Ethan Gurwitz made second chair Region Band and Orchestra and advanced to Area. Way to go!
